Lisa Brackin specializes in helping families find educational solutions for their kids. She helps parents develop a plan of action by determining cognitive and academic functioning through a comprehensive and individualized assessment process. She also provides one-on-one Educational Therapy, consults with families regarding school options and interventions, reviews ARD paperwork and assessments, and accompanies families to ARD meetings.
Sound Starts Music
Sound Starts Music is a music therapy practice and adapted music lesson studio located in Frisco, Texas. We happily serve families and facilities in Frisco as well as surrounding areas such as Plano, Prosper, McKinney, Allen, Lewisville, and Little Elm. Sound Starts is passionate about helping your child learn and grow with music! Our team of board-certified music therapists specialize in working with children with autism spectrum disorders and special needs. We also provide services for students in the school setting and older adults in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities.
Equest
Equest provides equine facilitated activities, therapies, and counseling to children and adults with physical, cognitive, sensory, coping, social, and learning disabilities and veterans with adjustment challenges. The services provided include physical and occupational therapy, equine facilitated counseling, therapeutic carriage driving, therapeutic horsemanship, and competition.

29 Acres was founded by a group of families who share a similar need: Finding quality programming and safe housing for their young adults with autism in North Texas. When our children with autism were young, our efforts were directed towards seeking appropriate care and therapies, privately and through our educational systems, to ensure they were given opportunities to learn and make meaningful progress. As a result, their children have grown up to be wonderful young adults. Most continue to live with challenges typical of adults with ASD, but have skills that can make a real difference in their lives – skills that, if maintained, will allow them to successfully engage in the community, be productive at a job or volunteer position and enjoy friendships. At 29 Acres, we know they can have a life with purpose. We know they can have a happy life.
